History

Purchased in 1933 by Mr John Junius Morgan for the sum of 1222 pounds 14 shillings. John sent the car over to the famous coach builder Thrupp and Maberly in the west end of London, who had been the official coach builder to Queen Victoria.

In 1936 the car was sold to a renowned motor dealer in London called Rootes Limited. In the same year the car was purchased by William McInnes, a famous Scottish ship owner who kept the car until his death in 1944 whereupon he left the car to his chauffeur..

The car was then sold to the Edinburgh and District Motor Hiring Services in Dean Bridge Edinburgh where we believe it was used as a taxi during the last year of World War 2 and on into the post war years.

In 1953 the car came into private ownership in the North East of England followed by a 30 year stint on the English South Coast and then finally joining us here at Forest of Bowland Wedding Cars in 2018.
