History

The car was ordered in 1937 by the famous London Rolls Royce dealer Jack Barclay Limited, on behalf of the first owner a captain John Stroyan of the Royal Field Artillery.

He paid the sum of 7828 pounds which included the part exchange of his Daimler car.

Captain Stroyan chose the coach builder Windover Ltd based in Huntington and London renown for the building of luxury coaches for the aristocracy and royalty.

Following the death of Captain Stroyan in 1941 the car remained in Scotland at Coalville Limited until in 1953 it ended up across the Atlantic in the United States of America for many years until it was brought back to England in 2001.

The car then remained in private ownership until it joined us here at Forest of Bowland Wedding Cars in 2019.
